Our home decor products are created from a variety of building materials that stand for simplicity and minimalism in their style. Besides hand-woven products, the others include cane, bamboo, banana fiber, pine needle, water reed etc., to name a few.

For instance, we have pioneered the idea of having minimalist indoor furniture made from cane and bamboo. For ages, it has only been considered fit for outdoor furniture, but we have actualized the concept of connecting with nature and being comfortable with who you are in one decor range.

Meet our founder Deeksha Malik.

Deeksha (an ex pilot turned entrepreneur) always had a knack for sustainability and creative design. Always on the look out for handicrafts around the world, she finally decided to create such products that not only enrich others homes but also the lives of our local artisans who work day and night into creating these hand made products.

"Fascinated with design and art all my life, i wanted to explore the forgotten trend of appealing aesthetics with natural materials available in our country.

I was always drawn to the design elements of a space during my travels to culturally rich places. I wanted to explore the forgotten trend of appealing aesthetics with natural materials and handicrafts available in our country and that's how Luuma was established.

It has been a learning journey so far and every day is a realisation that businesses are just not about balance sheets and bank accounts but more about People ! The people who work with us, the people who work for us and the people who believe in us. It's a beautiful human synchrony that I am grateful to be a part of. Everyday I am amazed by the kindness and resilience of our artisans, of our wonderful clients. And this is all that keeps us going."
